The Producer Academy is for anyone who wants to learn, improve or deepen their music production skills. Whether you're completely new to production, have been producing for a while or want to take your existing work to a more professional level, the coaching is adapted to your experience, goals and musical direction.

No. Beginners are welcome. You can start with the fundamentals and gradually build your technical knowledge, musical understanding and confidence. If you already produce music, sessions can instead focus on the areas where you want to improve.

The coaching can be adapted to your preferred DAW and production setup. Rather than teaching only one software workflow, the focus is on understanding production principles, sound, arrangement, workflow and creative decision-making that can be applied across different platforms.

Yes. Sound design is an important part of the Producer Academy. Alex Guzzo is an active music producer, sound engineer and professional sound designer and can help you understand how sounds are created, shaped and combined to support your music.

No. You don't need to play an instrument to start producing music. However, understanding instruments and musical performance can be extremely valuable. Alex's experience as a multi-instrumentalist gives him a broad understanding of how sounds are created and how musical elements work together.

The skills taught at Mixed Bass Arts are not limited to one genre. We have a strong connection to electronic music, but production principles such as sound design, arrangement, recording, mixing and musical understanding can be applied across many styles. Your sessions are adapted to the music you want to create.

Alex Guzzo is a Lisbon-based music producer, sound engineer and professional sound designer with 18 years of production experience. He has worked with artists across different genres and can play a wide range of instruments, giving him a broad understanding of how sounds are created and how musical elements work together.

Every session is tailored to your experience and goals. You can focus on learning specific production techniques, developing an existing project, solving technical challenges, experimenting with sound or receiving feedback on your own music. The focus is practical, personal and directly connected to your development as an artist.

Sessions take place at CLIMA Lab Studio in Lisbon in a professional studio environment. You will work directly with Alex in a dedicated production setting designed for learning, experimentation and creating music.
